    Hello guys,
    As mentioned during the last connect@5 service, Hazel, Joel(From the 1030 svc) and I (charis) will be going for a short term mission trip to West Kalimantan. Its in Indonesia on the Borneo Island.

    Yup so basically we will be there visitng the Living Waters Village. If you all rmb, Ps Ronny Heyboer spoke at our svc a few weeks back and he’s the one we’ll be visitng there. So we are gonna be mainly involved with children’s stuff! Yeah huh, 400 of them. Yup please keeep us in your prayers:)

    Here are some specific prayer pointers:
    1. Hazel is in charge of the children’s ministry programme, Joel is our drama I/C, i’m in charge of worship so just pray that we will have the wisdom and know how to be flexible and adapt to the situations over there. We aren’t really sure what to expect and we know that many unexpected things will crop up last min, so just pray for wisdom. :)
    2. Good health! Most of us have already taken immunisation jabs and pills, but of course nothing is more powerful than God our healer yes:) HAHA. so do pray for good health. Its gonna be rather hot there I gather, plus we will be spending much time outdoors doing work. So just pray that we will be able to adapt to the climate and the long days over there. Also pray that the food we eat will be beneficial and will not be rejected by our bodies!
    3. Language barrier. They speak Bahasa indonesia and limitted english. So we have actually had language training but seriously super limitted. And as it is quite a large team, we are gonna be spiltting to do work so they may not be enough intepreters to go around. So do pray that we will be able to communicate effectively with the people over there:)
    4. PRAY FOR OPEN HEARTS:) to hear the good news we have to bring over there.
    5. Pray for our families and loved ones we are leaving behind:)

    We will be flying off @1040am Airasia Terminal 1. most of you will be schooling so don’t have to come:)
